Instructions for joining Turnit.com
- Go to the web site: www.turnitin.com
- Click on “user login”
- Click on “New to Turnitin.com? Click here to
get started.”
- Fill out email address and password twice. Write
password in 2 other places for safety.
- Click “next” and follow instructions. Place ID# in “title” slot. Use local
address.
- On “Welcome _____” page, click “login.”
- Fill in email and password; then click
“student.” Leave “security mode”
as it is.
- Click “login” and arrive at “your classes”;
Click “join new class.”
- Join a class using class password and class
ID# given by your teacher. Next you will see your homepage where you can access
all your classes. Click on the
class you wish to enter. There you will find assignments, a
calendar, or submit papers.
- You may submit papers by cutting them from your
file with your mouse and
pasting
them in the box (highlight whole paper; then use right button to paste).
Or
you can upload a file as instructed.
Don’t forget to fill out ALL the information asked for, such as
title. When your paper has been
accepted, you will receive a receipt # by email. If you do not receive that, then re-submit
your paper.
Tips:
- If you use AOL, select a different browser
(Google or Yahoo) when submitting at home.
- Your personal password must have at least 6
characters with both letters and numbers.
- Do not click on “security mode.” Leave it as it is.
